Grew up In JVille when wape was on the am band. The Greaseman was the best DJ/radio personality , he played all kinds of music!! Heard Blackfoot first on the am then Jax got a killer rock station 104.5. Too bad all these stations have gone away.

I've had Strikes on 8track, vinyl, cassette, and cd. Now, on digital. I know every note of every song. And is still one of my favorites. Edit note, I saw blackfoot in Aug 1981 at the 4th golden summernight in darmstadt(?). I've seen skynyrd 3 times with Rickey and he crushed it each and every time. Thanks for all of it, RM. Angel is one of the most under rated bands. They had such an original and great sound on their albums. Punky has licks that I've never heard any other guitarists do. He has a style all his own. Barry Brandt was my second drum hero when I was around 12. First was Peter Criss, only because Kiss was the first rock band I ever heard at my age back then. But when I learned of Angel and got to see them in concert in '79, it was awesome. As a musician today still, at 60 years old, I still site Angel as a big influence on me. I often reference their earlier albums for songs I compose.

I don't like his music but Vai comes across as an amazing person. He is a God-level player, clearly a musical genius and his love for the guitar is inspiring.

KEITH ROTH!!! I so wish you would start a channel on UA-cam and do documentaries on 80s Hair Bands. You know a lot about them and you're professional when you speak. Too many people TRY to do rock documentaries sound terrible and VERY unprofessional. You have so many followers on SIRIUS XM radio that would LOVE to watch Rock Docs narrated by you. PLEASE THINK ABOUT IT!!
